Abstract

he article is devoted to the analysis of the role and significance of digital technologies in teaching Polish as a foreign language. In the contemporary educational space, there is a dynamic development of information and communication tools that significantly influence glottodidactics, diversify the learning process, and transform traditional approaches to teaching. The use of digital tools contributes to the intensification of learning, ensures the individualization of the educational process, stimulates attention, and increases students’ motivation. The article discusses examples of various educational platforms (such as Moodle, e-polish.eu, Insta.Ling) that enable distance and blended learning, provide access to interactive tasks, multimedia materials, and automated knowledge assessment systems. Special attention is paid to mobile applications and blogs, which complement traditional forms of instruction, expand opportunities for independent learning of vocabulary and grammar, and support the development of intercultural communication skills. Among innovative resources, interactive quizzes and virtual collaboration environments (Kahoot, Quizlet, Padlet, Blendspace) are highlighted, as they develop both receptive and productive language skills, foster cooperation, and create situations of authentic communication. It is emphasized that digital technologies, being an integral part of the everyday life of the younger generation, naturally integrate into the learning process, promoting critical thinking and the development of digital competence. At the same time, the author draws attention to the risks associated with the excessive number of resources, the rapid obsolescence of certain platforms, and the need for careful methodological selection of materials. The necessity of a balanced combination of digital and traditional teaching methods is underlined, as it ensures the optimal balance between technological innovation and pedagogical effectiveness. Thus, digital technologies open up new perspectives for teaching and learning Polish as a foreign language, making the process more flexible, diverse, and better aligned with the needs of modern learners.
